This piece is about letting go. It’s based on a character who feels as if they are used up, and with nothing left to give. Empty, wounded, and uncaring, he’s releasing the withered goals and dreams he once held high. The bloodless wounds and the white beard emphasize the notion of being used up, and the large eye on the stick coming from his ear shows that he is starting to listen to reason, the reflection of the window in the eye acting as a form of hope.

The daises on the table are what were the character’s intentions for the stars/dreams, and the empty pot shows how he has gotten nothing out of the ordeal of holding up the stars.
